Albany Tech to offer Certified ETA Convergent Telecommunications Technology Diploma Program Summer Quarter

As a part of the Telecommunications Engineering Technology program at Albany Tech, the Convergent Telecommunications Technology diploma will provide the IP networking component needed for next generation telecommunications technicians.

Graduates of this program will be proficient in voice and network technologies including VoIP and packetized switching, and will be able to install and maintain the current legacy systems.

After completion of this program, the student will be qualified to enter the field of Service Technician/Installer or Network Technician/Installer.

A unique aspect of this program is that the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA) has certified Albany Technical College as a training provider, which includes the Fiber Optics Installer embedded certification as part of the Convergent Telecommunications program.
