Albany Tech Titans Kick off 2017-2018 Season and Celebrate a Decade of Basketball with Homecoming Game Wednesday and a Week of Activities

Albany, Georgia – The Albany Tech Titans will officially kick off the 2017-2018 basketball season and a decade of basketball with the Homecoming events and the first home game on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, beginning at 7pm at Albany State University’s HPER Gymnasium. The Titans will play the Action Sports Academy Cougars.

Kicking off the week’s events on Monday, October 30th with a Foundation golf tournament themed “Celebrating a Decade of Titans,” Homecoming Week will include a Titans Challenge Day with a Chili Cook- off and Wing Eating Contest and a Costume and Pumpkin Decorating Contest on Tuesday. Wednesday will be Titans Tailgating Day with sending the Titans off for what is hoped to be a victory at the evening game.

An alumni and returning player brunch will be held at the Albany Tech Student Center at 11am on Saturday, October 28th with a 6pm “Old School vs. New School” game at ASU’s HPER Gym where players from previous seasons will scrimmage with current team players.

This season, the Titans only have one returning player from last season, with one returning starter. The Lady Titans have seven returning players with two returning starters.
