Albany Tech Students Earn Placement at the State DECA Competition

February 14, 2012 - Albany Technical College had three students earn placements at the State DECA Competition held this past weekend in Valdosta. These placements have earned these students the right to compete at the International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah in April.


The winning students included: Arthur Love and Kayla Robinson, who placed first in website design and Vanessa Wright, who placed second in Prepared Business Plan/Entrepreneurship.

Other Albany Tech students who competed included: Phyllis Ward (HR Management Competition); Michael Fowler (Restaurant and Food Management); and Stefon Gassaway (Prepared Business Plan/Entrepreneurship). All students prepared for the competition for three-plus months and served Albany Tech well.
