Albany Tech proudly announces GOAL nominees and semi- finalists

February 19, 2009 – Albany Technical College will honor fifteen outstanding students nominated for the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) today, February 19, 2009 at 5:00p.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center.


The GOAL program recognizes exceptional technical college students, across the state, for their academic excellence and personal achievement. The program also spotlights the important role of technical training in our economy. The state winner serves as an ambassador of technical education in Georgia.

During today’s reception, Albany Tech judges will announce the four semi-finalists who will go on to the area GOAL competition. Those four students will deliver speeches to a judging panel made up of Albany Area Chamber of Commerce representatives. The panel will choose Albany Tech’s college winner who will compete at the regional level.
