Albany Tech opens new campus bookstore

October 25, 2012- ALBANY, GA from WFXL- Albany Technical College held a ribbon cutting for their new bookstore Thursday morning.


It cost $450,000 dollars to transform the old student center into the new 5575 sq/ft book store.


Their old facility only had two cash registers and sometimes left students waiting more than two hours to purchase their books. The new facility has five registers for quicker service.


"We're able to get more students in, service more students, and let them be able to get on out and into their classes", said Phillip Monfort, the Bookstore Coordinator.


Other new things include an increased selection of clothing options including Nike branded apparel and the in the Spring, the Book Express program for students to order books online and just pick up at the store.
