Albany Tech Holds Spring Honors Day Program Tuesday

April 25, 2016 - Albany, GA - Albany Technical College will hold Honor's Day for spring on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, beginning at 11am in the Kirkland Conference Center. Keynote speaker for the program will be Sharon Subadan, City Manager for the City of Albany, Georgia.

Recognized as a dynamic senior executive with strong organizational and leadership skills, Sharon Subadan has been effective in implementing innovative programs and initiatives with considerable success in stimulating organizational change. With over 25 years of experience in public administration, she specializes in multi-sector collaboration and public leadership. As the City Manager of Albany, Georgia, she serves a population of 77,000, overseeing 1,100 employees and managing a $265 million budget. Subadan is a graduate of The George Washington University with a master's degree in Public Leadership. She is a certified Public Manager and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, who is passionate about servant leadership in the public space.

Nearly 75 Albany Tech students will be recognized during Tuesday's ceremony for award categories such as American Criminal Justice Association Club, ATC Ambassadors, Collegiate DECA, Engineering Club (E-Club), Honors with Distinction, Mr. and Miss ATC, National Technical Honors Society (NTHS), Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), Presidential Scholar, SkillsUSA, Student Fellowship for Christians (SFC), Student Government Association (SGA), and General Education Development (GED).

The fall Honors Day program recognizes honor students in advance of Albany Tech's regularly scheduled spring graduation, which will be held on this coming Thursday, April 28, 2016, at 7pm, at the Albany Civic Center. More information to come later this week on Albany Tech's spring graduation.
