Albany Tech Holds Honors Program for Spring Graduates on Tuesday

May 29, 2012- ALBANY, GA- Albany Technical College will hold Honors Day for spring graduates on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center.


Award categories represented for this Honors Day will include: President's List, Highest/High Honors, National Technical Honors Society (NTHS), Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL), Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), Student Government Association (SGA), Students Fellowship for Christians (SFC), ATC Chorus, Foundation Setters for Future Minds, DECA, Skills USA, and General Education Development (GED).


Guest speaker for the ceremony will be Alfred Hosely, Financial Aid Accountant at Albany Technical College. Now in his twelfth year at Albany Tech, Hosely has also served in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and as an adjunct accounting instructor. Prior to coming to Albany Tech, Hosely was employed with various organizations throughout the state of Georgia. His past experience includes eligibility case manager with Mitchell County DFACS; supervisor for State Child Support Office in Atlanta; and a staff accountant with the Dougherty County School System. He also is the owner of one of Albany's most successful tax and accounting businesses, Sowega Tax Services. Hosely holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Albany State University.


Albany Technical College will hold graduation ceremonies for spring graduates on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Albany Civic Center. More information about this graduation to come later this week.
