Albany Tech Faculty Council and College President Sign Memorandum

March 26, 2015- Albany, GA- Albany Technical College Faculty Council and President Dr. Anthony O. Parker, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand collaborations between faculty and the college president. The Faculty Council was formed to provide a format by which faculty can share expertise and provide feedback for present and future initiatives and processes that are being implemented at the college in the area of Academic Affairs.

Originating from an Achieving the Dream Faculty Engagement initiative at the college, the Council will exist to promote mutual interest through faculty engagement in the continuous improvement of instructional programs, promote participation in the decision-making processes impacting faculty and student success at Albany Tech, and promote continued cooperation and support the professional relationships between President Parker and the Faculty Council.

"As Albany Technical College moves forward toward assisting our students to achieve their dreams, we want to be certain that we do so in the most effective process possible, taking into considerations the vast amount of knowledge and expertise shared by our faculty," said Dr. Shirley Armstrong, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Albany Technical College.
