July 6, 2015- Albany, GA- Some members of the Georgia Association of EMS have come up with a new way for first responders and hospitals to detect a heart attack.

They're traveling across country to teach the new system. They stopped at Albany Technical College to teach EMS students about the system.

Their goal is for all Emergency Medical Services in Georgia to use the system.

"Albany Tech is one of our locations because we are trying to reach out to not just the hospitals or the EMS services these guys are paramedic students and they will be out in the field before to long and we can catch them early on and we want to make sure that we effect their education and training early on," Daniel Warren said.

The project is a three year effort to try to get everyone in the medical field in Georgia to adopt the system.
