Albany Tech begins the reloading phase

April 8, 2009 (WALB) - Albany Tech coach Sylvester Patterson has started to reload his program with the Titans losing ten players from their 20 win team.

The Titans signing four players on Wednesday.

One of them is Westover guard Raheem James.

Albany Tech also signing Justin Pipkins, Deron Blue and Romero Owens from Turner Job Corps.

Coach Patterson believes the trio can have the same success as another former Job Corps player Truett O'Neal who will sign a scholarship with a four-year school next week.

Sylvester Patterson said. "Truett has been big for us. He has been our leading scorer and rebounder for the last two years. We have two others players we have redshirted from Turner Job Corps. We just want to continue a relationship that has been so productive this coming season."

Coach Patterson says Albany Tech guard DeMarcus Blunt will sign with Grambling next week.

The Titans and Albany Tech Lady Titans are hosting a tryout this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Albany State.
