Albany Tech Bakes for Cancer

October 12, 2011 - WALB - Culinary students at Albany Tech turned their recipes into cash for cancer Thursday.

They sold ooey gooey bars, cheesecake, and more with all proceeds going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. The idea for the bake sale came from one of the students.

"I came up with the idea of having a bake sale because I do culinary arts and I just thought it would be a good idea," said Jacquelyn Frazier-Tensley, an Albany Tech student. "I went to my friend and asked, also, she's a student here at Albany tech, would she help me with it. And that's how we put all this together."

The fundraiser is one of many leading up to a fundraising walk Friday night at Albany State.
