May 24, 2012- ALBANY, GA from WALB- Sometimes recruiting for Albany Tech head coach Sylvester Patterson is easy.

The Titans head coach signed three players Thursday including one whose older brother played for the Titans.

Wilcox County guard Derel D.J. Lawson signed with the Titans.

He is the younger brother of Justin Wilcox.

D.J. says watching Justin play at Albany Tech convinced him he wanted to be a Titan.

D.J. Lawson said. "They have been looking at me for like two years. I really like coach Patterson and the way he coach and the way he does things."

Patterson also signing former Dougherty High star Arabian Williams.

Patterson says it is hard to convince the city's top players to stay at home.

After playing at Lawson State in Alabama, Williams is ready to get his career back on track in his hometown.

Arabian Williams said. "I have a great chance to go to the next level at Albany Tech. That is why I am excited to be at Albany Tech. Playing with new teammates.

Sylvester Patterson "it seems like that is a theme for us. We got guys that go away for a year. They come back and we end up playing against them a lot of the time. They usually have a good game. He gave me a call and we made it happen."

Patterson was able to convince one local star to remain in Albany.

Westover's Brandon Hudson signed Thursday to play for the Titans.

Hudson was an all-region player for Dallis Smith's Patriots.

Brandon Hudson "They have a staff that will help you and they will be behind you 100%. That is what I need right now."

Patterson has expanded his recruiting.

The Titans have signed post players Joseph Screws from Eufaula, Alabama, Laphonso Smith from Wayne County, Mississippi and Devery Rickman from Maryland.
