Tree Campus USA ceremony
ALBANY, GEORGIA - Albany Technical College, a Tree Campus USA member, will plant a tree to recognize the importance of trees that establish and sustain healthy community forests on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, beginning at 10 a.m. on the grounds south of the Nathaniel Cross Health Care Technology Building.

ATC New Men’s Basketball Coach
Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College announces Tim Dal Bon as interim head basketball coach. Dal Bon was named following the resignation of Sylvester Patterson who had served as head coach since 2007. Tim was recruited last year to be the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach for the Albany Tech Titans. This year, he will lead the Titans team in the 2020-2021 season.

NEW Career Management System - Purple Briefcase
Albany, Georgia – Career Services at Albany Technical College has added a more sophisticated and robust platform, Purple Briefcase, for students and employers to connect in Southwest Georgia. The new cloud-based software developed by Ruffalo Noel Levitz (RNL) is smooth and easy to use. Purple Briefcase offers everything students need to prepare for their career search, connect with employers and alumni, and find the best internships and jobs. And it’s not just for students. Employers can post internships and jobs, have access to student profiles and resumes.

Assisting Students with Intel Pocket PC Computer Stick
Albany, Georgia – Students enrolled at Albany Technical College (ATC) now have an opportunity to access the internet through a PC computer stick that easily plugs into an HDMI port on a television or monitor. Students will need to use their HDTV (with HDMI port or HDMI display) and wireless keyboard/mouse combo to connect to the Pocket PC computer stick. Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo are recommended.

Albany Technical College receives Kia Optima
Albany, Georgia – KIA Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. has donated a KIA Optima to the Albany Tech Foundation. The late-model vehicle will be used as a hands-on laboratory to train students on computer diagnostics in the Automotive Technology Program. This donation will place current automotive repair technology in students' hands and prepare them to work in the local automotive industry.
