State of The College.

ALBANY, GEORGIA - Albany Technical College President, Dr. Anthony O. Parker, will deliver a State of the College address on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 11 a.m., direct from the Albany Technical College YouTube Channel. Due to COVID-19 health conditions in the community, the decision has been made to hold the September 15 presentation in a virtual format. ALBANY, GAThe Nurse Aide Accelerated Technical Certificate of Credit starts this fall semester at Albany Technical College (ATC). This approved curriculum is nine credit hours total which means completion is now one-quarter of the time. Traditionally the Nurse Aide technical certificate of credit would take 2-3 semesters, but now a student can complete the requirements in one Success Term (7 Weeks). Albany Technical College is now accepting students for the next Success Term entry point, October 11, 2021.

ATC & CDC Project Firstline National Training Collaborative for Healthcare Infection Prevention & Control.

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College (ATC) is excited to announce its participation in a new, innovative program that will help bring enhanced infection control education to our emergency medical services’ (EMS) classrooms.  According to the CDC’s Community College Collaborative page ATC is one of 16 colleges participating from across the country.

CARES Act Student Debt Relief.

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College received funding from the US Department of Education under the CARES ACT 2021 to include the Higher Education Emergency Relief (HEERF) and the American Rescue Plan (ARP). As part of the ARP or HEERF funding, colleges and universities may use a portion of their funding to discharge student debt or unpaid balances owed to the institution. Therefore, to assist students who have experienced financial hardships, as a result of the Coronavirus, the college plans to discharge students’ debt who were enrolled on or after March 13, 2020. The goal is to alleviate financial hardship caused primarily by the COVID-19 pandemic and assist students in completing their education.

Public Notice of Upcoming Accreditation Review Visit by the ACEN

The Albany Technical College wishes to announce that it will host a site review for continuing accreditation of its Associate of Science Nursing Program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
