Law enforcement memorial ceremony, May 15, 2019. ATC Kirkland Conference Center.

Albany, Georgia – Peace Officers Memorial Day is held annually in the United States on May 15 in honor of federal, state, and local officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. It is observed in conjunction with Police Week. Fallen officers from the Albany Police Department, Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office, Dougherty County Police Department, and the United States Marine Corps will all be honored in a special ceremony at Albany Technical College. Make plans to attend May 15, 2019, 9 a.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center. A special proclamation will be presented by Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard and Dougherty County Commission Chairman Christopher Cohilas.

Albany Technical College Open House 2019

Albany, Georgia – An Open House is scheduled Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Logistics Education Center on the campus of Albany Technical College.  The event time is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the general public is invited to attend. The standard application fee of $25 has been waived during Saturday’s Open House. 

Associates of Nursing Sprong Capping & Pinning

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College will hold Associates of Nursing Capping and Pinning for spring on Thursday, May 2, 2019, beginning at 6:00 pm in the Kirkland Conference Center. Keynote speaker for the program will be Dr. Bianca Kierce, Nurse Practitioner / Cardiology at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

ATC Practical Nursing program Ranked 4th in Georgia by Practical

Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College's Practical Nursing (PN) Program has been ranked as one of the best in Georgia by in the annual rankings list for 2019. Out of 21 schools analyzed 10 were ranked and Albany Tech was ranked fourth in the state. Nursing programs were assessed on several factors which represent how well a program supports students towards licensure and beyond.

Cosmetology Refresh

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College will host a Cosmetology Refresh Monday, April 29, located in Artisan Hall (building D), room 107 at 5:30 pm. New and exciting changes will be presented that include expanded night class opportunities for students. Faculty, staff and program graduates will attend. Also, employers from the community will be in attendance: JCPenney, Ulta, Celebrities By Fredd, MasterPiece Barbershop and Laced By Des.
