ATC Virtual Graduation. DECEMBER 12, 2020 | 3PM Albany Technical College Fcaebook & YouTube.

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College is having a virtual graduation celebrating the graduates from Fall 2020, Saturday, December 12 at 3:00 PM. The video release will be on Facebook, Albany Tech’s YouTube Channel and on Mediacom Channel 19 (ASU TV).  Candidates for Technical Certificates of Credit, Diplomas, Associate Degrees and High School Equivalencies will be recognized for their accomplishments.  This notification comes as an official invitation to the graduates, families, friends and community to view the Fall 2020 Virtual Commencement of Albany Technical College.

ATC and Lees McCrae Pathway Memorandum of Understanding.

Albany, Georgia - Albany Technical College (ATC) officially will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Pathways Program agreement with Lees-McRae College (LMC) on December 1, 2020. The virtual signing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on the campus of Albany Technical College in the Logistics Education Center board room and also on the main campus of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. The MOU between the two colleges will establish a Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) for all ATC graduates who meet specific academic requirements to transfer and complete a bachelor's degree at LMC.

Fall 2020 Healthcare Graduates.

ALBANY, GA – There are 70 Healthcare related graduates this fall at Albany Technical College in the following fields: Health Information Technology, Radiologic Technology, Pharmacy Technology, Surgical Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, and Practical Nursing. Many of these students will begin work in the community here in Southwest Georgia, and some will continue their path to a four-year degree.

Albany, GeorgiaAlbany Technical College President, Dr. Anthony Parker presented the first two graduates of the Fire and Emergency Services Occupation Associate of Applied Science Degree with a special Challenge Coin to recognize their superb achievement. On hand for the presentation were Tracie Naylor-Griffin, Chair/Instructor, Paramedicine Program, Dr. Anthony O. Parker, President of Albany Technical College, Teancum Millerd, Challenge Coin Recipient (currently employed with the Albany USMC Logistics Base Emergency Services), Joseph Stodola, Challenge Coin Recipient (currently employed with Lee Co. Fire & Emergency Services), and Frank Flanigan, Chair/Instructor, Fire Science Technology. This is the first degree of this kind in the state of Georgia. These students took advantage of an opportunity to sign up to be dual certified. It gives a student both components ‒ Fire and EMS. Plus, it also is a degree designed for promotional purposes at the occupational level.

ALBANY, GEORGIA - Albany Technical College, a Tree Campus USA member, will plant a tree to recognize the importance of trees that establish and sustain healthy community forests on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, beginning at 10 a.m. on the grounds south of the Nathaniel Cross Health Care Technology Building.
