Albany Technical College Celebrates SkillsUSA Week Feb. 4-10
Feb. 2, 2018 - Albany, GA - Students and faculty at Albany Technical College (ATC) will join others across the nation to celebrate SkillsUSA Week, which is Feb. 4-10, 2018. The annual celebration represents over 300,000 SkillsUSA members nationwide and promotes career and technical education.

Albany Technical College Head Chef and Culinary Arts Program Chair Named as a 2018 Georgia Grown Executive Chef
ALBANY, GEORGIA – Albany Technical College Head Chef and Chair of the Culinary Arts program, Todd White, was recently named as a 2018 Georgia Grown Executive Chef. The honor was created by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, in partnership with the Georgia Restaurant Association, to promote and foster relationships between chefs and farmers.

Albany Tech Foundation Receives Scholarship Donation from the Georgia Power Foundation to promote STEM Education
ALBANY, GEORGIA – Today, the Albany Tech Foundation was presented with a check for $2,500 from the Georgia Power Foundation, Inc. to help fund equipment to expand the college’s STEM program labs.

Albany Technical College to Host High School Partners Breakfast
ALBANY, GEORGIA – Albany Technical College (ATC) will host a High School Partners breakfast on Thursday, January 25, 2018, beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center on campus. The purpose of the event is to educate high school counselors within Albany Tech’s Service Delivery Area (SDA) of dual enrollment and other academic offerings at the college.

Albany Tech Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) 2018 Winner Announced Today at Albany Rotary
ALBANY, GEORGIA – Today at Albany Rotary’s weekly meeting, a panel formed by the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, named Albany Tech’s 2018 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner. Julianna Matthews, Carpentry student at Albany Tech, will represent Albany Technical College for 2018 as the GOAL Student of the Year.
