Smart factory using trending automation robotic arms with part on conveyor belt in operation line.

Albany, Georgia - The need for qualified industrial machinery mechanics and maintenance technicians is on the rise in the country and right here in Southwest Georgia. Starting in the summer at Albany Technical College, opportunities will open up to get started on a new career for many adults in the community.  In as little as one to two years, a diploma or degree in Precision Manufacturing and Maintenance can be obtained with decent salaries being reported in the related industry.  

ATC Titans Bus

Albany, Georgia – The latest addition to the Albany Technical College fleet is a 41.5-foot Blue Bird Vision 44 bus, which seats 44 people. The custom-ordered bus arrived Friday on campus and will be used primarily for transportation for the Titans and Lady Titans basketball teams.  And best of all its made in Georgia by Yancey Bus out of Fort Valley, Georgia. Fort Valley, GA, is the original location of Blue Bird since its founding in 1927. 

Transportation Workforce Event

ALBANY, GAAlbany Technical College (ATC) will hold its fifth Employer Workforce Outreach event on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and ATC programs will have various displays with admissions representatives available to answer questions in advance of the meeting.

This new initiative offers an innovative path to earn a high school education and at the same time obtain skills training in high demand fields with better than average salaries.

Albany, Georgia – The Center for Business Solutions at Albany Technical College and the Albany Tech Foundation is hosting the 2020 Master Lecture Series with special guest speaker Patsy Martin, Wednesday, February 19, beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center on the Albany Tech campus. Community guests, students, and faculty will be able to enjoy lunch and listen to Patsy Martin speak on “Are Leaders Born, or Are They Made.”
