Albany Transportation Academy at Albany Technical College Rolls Out First CDL Graduates
ALBANY, GA – On Friday, August 17, 10:00 a.m., the first commercial truck driving (CDL) graduates from the newly formed Albany Transportation Academy at Albany Technical College will be showcased at a short ceremony on campus in the CDL classroom, Plant Operations Building, just off Newton Road.

Local Culinary Students at Albany Technical College Prepare to Travel to Ireland to be Immersed in the Culture
Albany, Georgia – This summer, an Albany Technical College group of Culinary Arts students and one instructor will travel to Waterford, Ireland for two weeks. They depart Sunday, July 29 and return Sunday, August 12. This cultural experience is part of Albany Technical College’s commitment to creating a strong and viable workforce in the community.

Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College will hold an interview and recruitment opportunity for recent graduates of the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program. This event will take place in the Career Development Center, located on the campus of Albany Tech, just off Lowe Road. The event will be held from 3pm to 6pm on Monday, July 23.
Local Retired Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Charles Gillespie Will Donate $10,000 to First Responders Program at Albany Technical College
Albany, Georgia – The Albany Tech Foundation will receive a check for $10,000 in a presentation at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Charles B. Gillespie, M.D. Center for Emergency Responders on the campus of Albany Technical College. This philanthropic donation from Dr. Charles Gillespie will go to support the Emergency Medical Service Professions and Paramedicine program in the Healthcare Technology division of Albany Tech.
