ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College will hold the Fall Work Ethics Special Recognition Program on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center.

As part of the technical education criteria, Albany Tech students are required to excel in Work Ethics as part of the grade they receive for each academic course. Those work ethics include appearance, attendance, attitude, character, communication, cooperation, organizational skills, productivity, respect and teamwork. Almost 70 students will be recognized at the ceremony Tuesday.

Keynote speaker for the ceremony will be Albany Tech Drafting Technology Alumni, Edrian Mallory. Currently a drafting teacher at Monroe Comprehensive High School since 2013, Mallory spent time as an Albany Tech student working on drafting projects with Chehaw Park and Habitat for Humanity. She redesigned Chehaw’s flamingo exhibit and created new and interesting floor plan layouts for Habitat homes. She has also designed floor plans for a small contracting company and assisted with renovation and interior design work for several Phoebe Health System locations.

In November, Mallory will join the Albany Tech family as an instructor in the Drafting Technology program.
