Carlton Construction Academy: Manufacturing Support & Transportation

Named for the family who donated the $2 million dollar facility, the Carlton Construction Academy houses construction trade programs including masonry, construction management, carpentry, plumbing and industrial air conditioning. Programs range from Air Conditioning Technology to Welding/Joining Technology.

Program graduates receive an Air Conditioning Technology diploma and have the qualification of an air conditioning technician.

The Automotive Collision Repair Program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for careers in the automotive collision repair profession. The Industrial Systems Technology program is designed for the student who wishes to prepare for a career as an Industrial Systems technician/electrician. The program provides learning opportunities that introduce, develop and reinforce academic and technical knowledge, skill, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to retrain or upgrade present knowledge and skill. The Associate of Applied Science degree and diploma programs teach skills in Industrial Systems Technology providing background skills in several areas of industrial maintenance including electronics, industrial wiring, motors, controls, PLC’s, instrumentation, fluidpower, mechanical, pumps and piping, and computers. Graduates of the program receive an Industrial Systems Technology Associate of Applied Science degree or diploma that qualifies them for employment as industrial electricians or industrial systems technicians.

The Masonry program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the masonry profession. The program emphasizes a combination of masonry theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive a masonry diploma which qualifies them as a one year apprentice brick and block mason or as a one year apprentice tile setter.
