Description
  1. Greet and interact effectively with the general public, staff members, students, teachers, parents and administrators, using tact and good judgment.
  2. Provide secretarial and clerical support for building administrator(s).
  3. Respond to telephone calls, routes calls and takes messages.
  4. Enroll new students; prepare cumulative folders and request records for new students.
  5. Enter student information on students transferring from within and outside of the school system.
  6. Maintain discipline records, processes and sorts all report cards for the entire school.
  7. Assist in maintaining efficient office operations by providing clerical relief as needed.
  8. Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials.
  9. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Diploma in Business Office Technology or equivalent.
  2. Two years’ clerical experience in a school office or related setting.
  3. Experience in working with sensitive information regarding students.
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  5. Experience in Microsoft Access, Excel and Word.
  6. Mature individual with initiative and good telephone skills.
  7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
