Under the supervision of the Sheriff, patrols an assigned area of the County to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of the peace, and arrest violators of State and local laws. Responds as directed by dispatch or necessitated by a hazardous situation to a variety of complaints or calls requiring police assistance.
: Must be 21 years old or older and possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Georgia drivers’ license. Certification or certifiable by Commission of Peace Officers Standards and Training. No Felony convictions. Good communications skills. Must successfully complete an oral interview, background investigation, drug screening and physical examination.
