Career Planning and Placement
| The Career Planning and Placement Office provides training support for workforce development that prepares students for employment, improves their life skills and advances their personal growth. The following services are provided by the Career Planning and Placement Office: career skills assessments; resume writing assistance and critiquing for career-related activities; internship and co-op opportunities; job listings for full-time and part-time jobs; career fairs; employability skills workshops and seminars; research on graduate and employer satisfaction; announcements of job vacancies submitted by employers throughout the region; application screenings and employment referrals; and on-site recruitment opportunities to employers. |

Location and Hours of Operation:
Kirkland Building (Bldg F), Room 6158 in Student Services
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8am-5pm Tuesday: 8am-7pm
Walk-ins are welcome from 9am to noon Monday through Thursday. Appointments are available after noon on Monday through Thursday. Students are seen on Fridays by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please contract Judy Jimmerson at 229.430.3514 or Patrice Jones at 22.430. 3939.

Frequently Asked Questions About Career Services
How do I apply for a job posted on the job board?
All students and graduates must complete an application for job search assistance and return it to the Office of Career Services. Services will be provided based upon services requested.
Will Career Services “place” me in a job once I graduate?
No. Career Services is able to assist with employability skills and make referrals for employment but there are no guarantees.
Are job postings only for Albany Technical College’s students and graduates?
Yes.
Do I have to make an appointment to receive services at the Career Center?
No. Services are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
