SASET : STUDENTS ACHIEVING SUCCESS IN ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

What is SASET?

Albany Technical College received 2.4 million dollar from the Department of Education via the Predominantly Black Institute grant. The goal is to assists increase the number of students who engage in Engineering Technology programs (ET). This effort will be carried out under the umbrella of the Students Achieving Success in Engineering Technology (SASET) project. The ET programs consist of Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Telecommunications Engineering Technology, and Civil Engineering Technology; Drafting and Electronic Technology students may participate as well. Students enrolled in any of these Engineering Technology programs after January 2012 are eligible to take advantage resources offered by the SASET Project (Please see requirements).

High school juniors and seniors may participate in the SASET Project by the way of the Joint Enrollment, Dual Enrollment or Accel program. Participations in any of these programs will enable students to take introductory Engineering courses, and/or a beginning Math courses at no charge to the student. Additionally, SASET students can receive peer tutoring, academic counseling, and be a part of the project's Summer Enrichment Robotics program, and much more.
